The AfterAll Friends Email List
If you have one of our Wires or are an invited friend, you may subscribe to our Yahoo list. This is a place to share stories about your Wire, ask questions and talk about anything from health care to favorite toys or grooming. You can make a photo album of pictures on our Yahoo page but the best thing is that you can connect with others who love Wires as much as you do!

These are just some of the AfterAll Families!
Maureen, Rita and their Zasu
Here is one of the Cal X Phoenix kids. Her puppy name was Cha Cha but her name is Zasu now. Here is she is balancing on her friend Rita's shoulders! You can see how cute she is in the kitchen with her owner, Maureen. She was a beautiful baby and it's nice to see how well she is growing up!

The Miller's "Perpetual Motion Riley!"
Riley is a puppy from Phoenix's first litter which was sired by Bing. When Jim and Kathy first contacted us, they told me that they wanted a puppy that was a bit of a challenge...and oh boy, did I have the puppy for them! As you can see, Riley is almost always on the move. Fortunately, he is in just the right place as his owners give him lots of opportunities to burn off some of that energy. All fox terriers do not have the same personality and all owners would not be able to keep up with Riley. However, this was a perfect match.

AfterAll Second Chance Is A Model!
Chance, the handsome dude on the floor, was recruited to be in this print ad for Ralph Lauren! Chance and his owner Elissa worked with a professional trainer in Central Park to teach him to ignore distractions and stay in one position for long periods of time...not an easy task for a Wire. Chance and Elissa live in NJ but the ad was photographed in NYC. Chance also happens to be Scout's litter brother!
The "Get Wired Girls"
We think that some of the nicest people have our dogs and these are the "Get Wired Girls." Five of the six dogs in the picture came from AfterAll and it is interesting that the dogs brought all these women together. One family has moved away but another family has been added. They all live in or near the little town of Geneva, IL and walk their dogs there. In summer, they can be seen having lunch at one of the outdoor cafes with the dogs all on their laps or at their feet. They are well known by the shop keepers and other residents of Geneva. How could you miss them with all those Wire Fox Terriers?

Saba
Lily was named Saba and is probably the most traveled of the puppies. Her family, the Nolls, write: "Saba has experienced a number of “firsts” over the last 9 days: Her first four plane trips, Her first time in the Florida Keys, Her first hurricane (Rita) and Her first baby coconut chew toys." Saba has an Airedale big sister in Ohio.

Preston Is In Massachusetts!
Preston, or Hiwire King of Hearts, made the trip with us to Ohio and then traveled on to NY where his new family picked him up from Chip and Sally Lowe. Preston is already much loved and is bringing lots of life into his home on the bay near Boston. We've gotten several calls and know he is already having a wonderful life there. Preston recently went to a Puppy Match where he was Best in an all-breed Sweepstakes and took a second in the Terrier Group!
Preston meets two young visitors!

Derek has gone to Baltimore
He is in a wonderful home with Susan and Drew. They have been on our list for awhile and are delighted to get him. I am sure he will bring them many happy times. They have named him AfterAll Are You Talking To Me, or Curley for short. His owners, Susan and Drew, flew all the way to Illinois to pick up their puppy and Curley made the trip back with them in a Sherpa bag under the seat. They said he was wonderful on the trip. He is quite an active puppy and keeps his family on their toes. I'm pretty sure he ended up in the very best place for him!

Izzy Is In New York!
Izzy is with our friend, Dana Schumacher, in NY. Dana is the kennel manager for Jim Smith's Smooth Fox Terrier kennel there. However, she is a Wire person at heart and very experienced at trimming and showing them. She and I will co-own Izzy, but Izzy (now named Hiwire Charisma) will live with and be shown by Dana. I am thrilled to have Izzy in such a good place.

With all the travel and excitement of showing, the most recent pictures of the puppies we have were taken just before we left when they were 8 1/2 weeks old. These were the last ones taken when all five were still here.
Click on Puppies At Eight Weeks Old to see what they looked like then.

Ch. Promise
Ch. Santeric's Campaign Promise has been owned by Barbara and Bob Arbizzani
for some time now.. As hard as it was for us to make the
decision to let her go, we know she absolutely loves her life there as an "only
dog." Promise takes long walks with Barb, runs through their yard chasing birds
and sleeps on the bed. The Arbizzani's have always had Wires and they love
Promise very much. She has a wonderful life with them.
Barb and Promise join the "Get Wired Girls" for their walks and lunch. She also
hosted a birthday party for Promise's daughters last summer. Barb is shown above
helping with Judy's litter.

Ch. Bouche
Well, I don't know how a dog could be much happier! Our boy, Bouche, went to live with the McWhirter family once he finished his championship. He loves being spoiled, sleeping in bed with his family and watching the activity on their farm out the window. Bouche came for a visit this summer and it was wonderful to see him.

The 2005 Kate X Sawyer Pups
!
Our Kate X Sawyer puppies love their new families. The little girl above, Rosie, is with Susan Linden who has plans to show her both in conformation and performance events. Susan reports that she is already off to a great start.
We are pleased to announce that all six of the puppies had bi-lateral hearing! One of the girls is in a show home in Canada. The Benoit's have kept a second show potential puppy, Alley, (Dakota's Diagon Alley) who is looking very nice at this point. Here are her pictures at almost 6 months old.
Dakota has other litters planned. You can contact them for information at dakotadalmatians@att.net or through their website: http://dakotadalmatians.com .

Although just a pup in the first pictures, Cole, (Dakota's Name of the Game) is
quite grown up now and is doing well in the show ring with his owner, Becky.
Cole has both his majors and has a sweeps win too. He only needs a few more
points to finish his championship

Our 2003 Wire Pups
We feel so fortunate to have found such great homes for each of the Bouche X Promise puppies who were born in June, 2003. We pretty proud of the matches we made too, as the families all think they got the perfect puppy for them! Here's where they are:

Scout
AfterAll Maycomb Co. Mischief (aka Scout) was a puppy I picked out early on as a show puppy. When she turned out to have an under bite, we let her go to Kelly and Marty in Carol Stream, IL. Imagine our surprise when her bite improved and was perfect! Her family decided to show her and Scout is off to a good start in the ring.
Scout doing a little shopping and on the grooming table at her first show.
Scout Wins A Major!

AfterAll Macomb Co. Mischief (aka Scout), then in the 12-18 mos. class, had a great day at the July show at DeKalb. While she also earned her first point at their spring show, Scout had a wonderful win this time by going Best Of Breed over a nice special to earn her first major. She then went on to win a Group 4! We are very proud of Scout and we are so happy that her family, Kelly and Marty Hynes have decided to give this girl a chance to be a show dog. We are enjoying their company and are excited about showing her more in 2005.

Chance
AfterAll A Second Chance (aka Chance) lives in Little Falls, New Jersey with Elissa. He has a great life there and also spends time with his extended family, Elissa's Mom and with her sister Susan's family. He plays with Susan's Standard Poodle and much loved by everyone. Chance has wonderful manners and also spends time in New York City where he is welcome in stores and businesses. Chance graduated at the top of his puppy class....no surprise to us!

Annie
AfterAll Tomorrow's Promise (aka Annie) was the sweetest puppy in the litter and won the hearts of everyone who held her. She is now part of Jeff and Joan's family in Chesterfield, MO. While several people were interested in taking her home, this is the family that worked out best for her. Annie is doing very well in her new home. Always happy to be cuddled and held as a pup, Annie has grown up to be just as loving and sweet as she was then.

Asta
AfterAll Thinman's Asta (aka Asta) was the second male in the litter who we called Wizard. Greg and Kim are his new family in Centralia, IL. Little Asta seemed to know he was meant for them the first day he saw them and he has grown into a very loving companion. He was the first puppy to be well house broken and would even scratch at the door to go out! Asta is very smart, affectionate and much loved. Here are some pictures of him taken this summer. He looks very relaxed, doesn't he???

Patsy
AfterAll My Patsy (aka Patsy) was the puppy we called Susie. She was a very pretty little Wire and one of the pups we considered keeping for show. Patsy lives with Marlene in Cedarburg, WI. She is a first Wire for Marlene but is named Patsy after one Marlene knew in her childhood. Marlene enjoys dog training so we think Patsy has probably become a very well behaved young lady.

Emily and Mia
AfterAll Pure Poetry (aka Emily) left AfterAll with Mary and Greg and lives in a lovely Philadelphia town home built prior to the Civil War. When we decided to place Mia some months later, Mary, Greg and Emily all drove in the meet Mia and see how it would work. The two girls now live together and are are doing pretty well for two Wire girls! We're delighted that Mary and Greg have both of these dogs.

Patsy/Bella
The first time we saw Patsy (Ch. Hiwire Act At Hexham) she was being shown as a young girl. She spent the summer with us at AfterAll. These pictures show her just hanging out with me in the kennel. That fall, she went back to the Lowe's to get her final two points toward her championship and have her second litter of puppies. Her first litter included Polly (shown above) and Mischief (on the What's New page.) Her second litter gave us Bing, Reese and Tabby, who are all being shown.

Now retired, she has a new name (Bella...which suits her) and a new home with Lucia and her buddy, Max, Lucia's rescue dog. She spends time napping in the grass at the stable, watching Lucia ride, and is a great favorite with the other riders. Both Bella and Max have now earned their Canine Good Citizen certificates!
What a good girl! You're a good boy too, Max!
And they have the certificates to prove it!
